Meet the CRS Team
Charles R. Szarowski is the Agency Principal, and along with his wife Judy, they are the proud owners of CRS Insurance. Charles, or Chuck as the office calls him, was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. When Chuck completed school, he enlisted in the army to fulfill what he felt was an obligation to his country. Chuck served for three years on civilian status in the White House. Chuck met his beautiful wife Judy in 1964, they married, then moved to Buffalo. It was short lived however, for Judy was not ready to leave her hometown of Fairfield, PA. Chuck would take this opportunity to begin his career as a Field Adjuster for Erie Insurance Group for 6 years, gaining the experience to open his own agency. A licensed agent since 1968, Chuck didn’t want his accomplishments to stop there. Chuck and Judy would become the proud parents of their daughter Dee Dee, and son Chuck Jr., who both are now licensed agents, and will continue the agency's perpetuation. To this day, Chuck & Judy reside in Fairfield with their Golden Retriever Brody. Chuck enjoys spending his time at their cabin in Raystown Lake, hunting with his two grandchildren, walking Brody, and watching the Buffalo Bills. Chuck is the heart of the office, and when people ask him, “when are you going to retire?” he replies, “If you enjoy what you're doing, do what you enjoy”.
Charles R Szarowski Jr, known around the office as Chuck Jr, has carried on more than just his father's name, but his undying drive to help others in need. Chuck Jr, VP of the agency, is a graduate of Fairfield High School and Penn State University. To top it off, he has also been a licensed agent since 1993 and obtained his CIC designation in 1999. Chuck Jr happily resides north of Gettysburg with wife Kelli, and their furry kid Billy. Chuck, being an avid football fan since he can remember, is a loyal supporter of the Penn State Nittany Lions, and the Buffalo Bills. When he is not at work, you can find him outdoors. Whether it be walking, hunting, fishing, or working on his lawn, he particularly enjoys camping with Kelli, Billy and his daughter Paige. Whenever he can, he also likes to hit up the golf course; but not to worry, Rory McIlroy’s Legacy is safe! Chuck Jr has spent many years educating himself, to be able to help others understand the complex nature that is insurance. He knows that it can be confusing, so he loves to sit down with customers and really dissect coverages, and the claim process so they leave with a much better understanding of how we have their back through the good and bad. He truly loves making connections with people and is extremely proud to carry on the family-owned business. And with the world constantly changing, one thing that will never change is the fact that everyone, at some point or another, needs insurance, and it will always be his pleasure to provide them with the best possible options one day at a time.
Deirdre D Mezger is a graduate of Fairfield High School and Central Pennsylvania Business school and has been a licensed agent with CRS Insurance Inc. since 1987. She resides with her husband John and their 2 dogs Emma a German Shepherd and Brinker a Labradoodle in Carroll Valley. DeeDee has one son Nicholas, a recent graduate from James Madison University. In her free time DeeDee enjoys camping trips with her family and golfing with friends. One of the favorite parts of her job is the personal service and interaction she gets to have with her insurance customers at CRS Insurance Inc.
Jeremy Miller has been a licensed agent with CRS Insurance Inc, since April 5th, 2010. A loving husband to his beautiful wife, Kristin, and a devoted father to his two daughters Jocelyn and Jaedyn, Jeremy has always been a family man. Jeremy was born and raised right here in Adams County, and was a graduate of Biglerville High School. Shortly after, he would enlist in the PA Army National Guard, and attend Shippensburg University. Along with those achievements, he is also a member of Bender’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Honor Guard of American Legion Post 262, and USA & USSSA Umpire. Currently, Jeremy and his family live in Arendtsville, where you can find him cooking up delicious meats in his smoker. While the mouthwatering meals are smoking, you can find him watching the North Carolina Tar Heels slam dunking basketballs. What Jeremy enjoys most about his job is the connections he makes with the wide variety of people that walk through our doors. Jeremy is not afraid of taking on challenges, and he is eager to continue serving his community in a variety of ways.
Sherry Kidd is not only the newly appointed office manager of CRS Insurance INC, but she is also the mother of two beautiful young adults, Kyrsten & Camden, along with being married to Jamie Kidd. From a young age Sherry was taught the core values of what hard honest work is like and has passed those lessons on to her children, and to those at CRS as well. Sherry began her career at CRS in 1997 shortly after graduating from Fairfield High School. In fact, when she was offered the job, she respectfully declined due to already having two! Lucky for us, she reconsidered! Since then, she has quickly become an irreplaceable part of the team, with her extensive knowledge of the ever-growing insurance industry, but also of the large entity of the Tag & Title side of our business. When she's not working, you can usually find her baking with her mom, or reading by the fire with her two dogs, Rusty and Bear. Sherry did not get into this business to simply make a paycheck and go home; she does what she does because she has a true calling to help others in need. Whether it be writing insurance, applying for a new title for your vehicle, or baking delicious homemade rice Krispy treats, she has got you covered. Sherry Kidd is a lot of things, but above all, she is a true friend to all and we are forever grateful she chose CRS to plant her roots.
Jamie has been blessing the CRS team and its patrons with her warm, inviting smile for over 15 years! When one comes into our office looking to title their vehicle in PA, Jamie is one of the first to jump up and be eager to help. Jamie and her daughter Sophie are recent residents of the New Oxford area where the party truly does not stop. From the thrilling Hallmark Movie marathons, to the loving memories she is cooking up with her daughter in the kitchen, Jamie is always having a great time. And it does not stop there! When Jamie comes into the office, her positive attitude, and lively personality brightens the office by 50 Shades of Happiness. Customers from all around come in and ask for Jamie by name because they know the service she provides will surpass their expectations. Many times we find customers come in with issues relating to their titles, and by the end of their interaction with Jamie, they are leaving with not only a smile, but a knowing that their situation is being handled by the best in the business. Furthermore, when our already very knowledgeable staff has a predicament that has them particularly stumped, Jamie can smell it from a mile away and runs to the rescue with that same trademark smile. While Jamie is quite the tank when it comes to the maze that is title work, she will always be the reason we keep smiling.
Judy was born and raised in Fairfield PA. She married Chuck in 1964, and together they founded CRS Insurance in 1979. They reside in Fairfield currently with their Golden Retriever, Brody. They have two children DeeDee & Chuck Jr who are licensed agents for CRS, it is truly a family business. In her spare time she likes to read and spend time at their cabin at Raystown.
Terri Jeffcoat has been a proud member of the CRS family since 2018. A lifelong resident of the Gettysburg area, Terri lives with her partner Keith, her son Trevor, and her stepdaughter Madi. Terri's love of music began at a young age, when she was surrounded by music in her home. Her father was a big fan of Elvis Presley, and Terri often sang along to his music. She also enjoyed listening to Martina McBride, and she eventually fell in love with singing herself. Terri is a regular attendee of karaoke nights, and she always gives a great performance, leaving her fans with goosebumps every time. She has a truly beautiful voice, and she knows how to get a crowd on their feet in no time. In addition to singing, Terri also enjoys country line dancing. She is a natural at it, and she always has a good time. Terri is a huge asset to the CRS team. With being a jack of all trades, she is always willing to help out her colleagues with anything they might have going on. When she is not on the phone helping clients add a new vehicle to their policy, she can be found at the counter helping customers with their tag and title needs. Terri is a true team player, and she is always willing to go the extra mile. CRS is lucky to have Terri as part of the family. She is a talented and dedicated employee, and she is always willing to help out in any way she can.
Jackie Nutty is the newest member of the CRS family and has proven in a short time that she will be a fine addition to the team. With Her quick wit and even quicker learning capabilities, she truly is a force to be reckoned with. Jackie started her journey in customer service as a manager in the fast-paced restaurant industry. However, Jackie couldn't help but feel that she was made to do more, to help people in a bigger capacity. She would soon apply to CRS, and with her resume that exhumed leadership characteristics, we knew she would be a great fit. Jackie’s love of hard work traces back to when she would camp with her family as a child, and now as an adult as she continues those traditions with her two dogs Rogan and Cooper, and her two children Carter and Carlee. The satisfaction she gets from pitching tents, and starting fires, started a fire inside of her to be the best she could be. Jackie wants to spread that feeling to others through providing excellent customer service, and soon, studying to write insurance herself. We are very happy to have Jackie, and will continue benefiting from her amazing work ethic for many years to come
Without fail, Brody comes in to our office most days running as fast as he can to get all the pets and scratches, he can! You will often see Brody around the office, maybe even poking his head up on the counter to say hello!
